While Hilton and Hyatt have expressed their commitment to reaching a fair agreement with the union, Marriott has remained silent on the matter. Hyatt has even put contingency plans in place to ensure minimal disruptions to hotel operations during the strike period. However, the lack of a response from Marriott raises concerns about the company’s stance on the issue and its willingness to address the workers’ demands.

The ongoing strike by hotel workers comes at a time when the industry is experiencing a surge in domestic travel, with a 9% increase in Labor Day weekend bookings compared to the previous year.
